I am constantly torn between what life means. Part of me thinks that life is all about perception. What I may see as being real and important, may have the opposite meaning to someone else. On the other side of the coin, I think that life is mapped out for us all by a creator. This thinking makes me think that we are all players in the creators game of life.

I believe the meaning of life is joy, happiness and contentment, being with those you love, living life to the fullest and enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. Life is also a journey of ups and downs, picking up knowledge along the way, and aiming toward a significant purpose. Contributing to society, helping others, sharing wisdom, and leaving a legacy behind all add to the meaning of life. It is about feeling satisfaction in the things you do with the life you are given.

The meaning of life? Hmmm, now that is a tough one! The meaning of life is different for different people. I believe that we are all here for a purpose. Finding out what that purpose is and fullfilling it what takes almost a lifetime. So, the meaning of life (for me at least), is knowing that God has a purpose for me and that every gift, talent, and skill that I possess works in and of that purpose for the good of others.

I think the meaning of life can be different for each person. For me it's the opportunity to wake each morning in a safe environment with all the basic needs (food, water, shelter) The relationships we build with family, friends and strangers are also important and contribute to the inner peace felt at the end of the day.

The meaning of life to me is waking up everyday and being able to go to work to support myself and my children. Being able to give my children a good life like my parents did for me. Spending time with family and friends (old and new), being healthy and helping someone who is in need. I live a very busy life and I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity to do everything I could to make my life as it is.

I think that the meaning of life is different for everyone. I think that the experiences in our lives shapes our meaning of life. For me I think its the connections that we make, with our families, our friends, ourselves, and whatever higher power we choose to beleive in if any.

Its all in how you look at it...Perception is remarkably "individual," even though out biological processes of perception are all pretty much the same. We all adapt, we all connect. We make choices each and every day. We survive AND we thrive. But what does it all mean?

Wow i never really thought about what life means to me. I guess i would have to say that life is different for every one and for me i have learned that life throws so many things at you and you have to learn to be able to cope, embrass and sometimes dodge what life throws at you. Life has its ups and down and i have learned to aprreciate and grow from it all. I believe that every happens for a reason, reasons that i may not always understand in the moment but its never in vein. Life for me has been and will be filled with every emotion out there but living is the ability to get throw it all.

that is a good question Prof. HFS- If you ask 100 people the same question, you probably get 101 different answers, right? Me, I am still trying to figure it all out! I think it is a learn as you grow thing, ya know?

The meaning of life? To me, why question it. Just let it happen and see how it makes you feel. If it doesn't feel good... change direction!

Cindy,
As usual, great advice! Changing direction isn't easy though, but if it will lead to fulfillment, it's worth the effort.

What a question!!! The meaning of life!!! These questions always bring us to profound reflexion. We are here on earth and a lot of people are asking: Why am I here on earth? Let's look at the beauty of the sky, the ocean, the flowers and everything on earth. Let's look at ourselves, Such beautiful creatures, and ask: What is the purpose of my life? I don't pretend to have an answer, however, if we believe in the Bible, we can find an answer there. We were created to be a reflection of God's love on earth, among our fellow human being. We were created to lend a hand to those who are suffering. Most of all, we were created to worship our Creator, the God of the universe. Life is so meaningful, I don't think we can find an exact word to express its meaning. We just say: "Viva lavida", "Vive la Vie", "Life is Good".
